Brave Little Lion:

friday was our uabc fall festival - fast becoming one of our favorite fall traditions! it was made even better by our little sutton who was LOVING everything about it! i came to the realization fast that this isn't my sweet little baby anymore...he was all about that inflatable bouncy thing and the giant slide that he even climbed up by himself and slid down several times! that thing was even a little scary for mommy! he was reluctant at first to tackle the inflatable train that had an obstacle course inside, but on the second attempt he loved it. what a cutie and so much fun!

Mommy's Birthday Party:

just in case you were thinking we couldn't fit any more birthday parties for sutton in, we sure did! here are some pics from his party with the family in huntsville. he loved that thomas the tank engine cake!!

last month we got to take sutton to his first clemson tiger football game! he had an awesome time - loved the tailgating, the food, the footballs, the game...every thing! just 16 years from now we might see him down on that field ;) thanks gigi and granddaddy-o for the awesome tickets! if it hadn't been close to nap time, i'm sure sutton would have wanted to stay for the whole game, but it worked out perfectly anyway...we left in time to walk back to nana & granddad's lake house before the rain set in. i think the game had 2 or 3 rain delays, but we were enjoying some pepino's awesome sausage pizza and a cozy rainy day nap so it didn't bother us!




watching the tigers run down the hill was definately a highlight!! go tigers!!

Mommy Insider Info:

we were super surprised that the fall weather hit memphis so suddenly this year! (today's high is 68!) that on top of the fact that sutton's converse were drenched from a walk between rain showers on sunday and his "crocs" gave him blisters during school on monday drove us to the mall monday night for some much needed shopping.

i just wanted to let all you mommies out there know that dillards carries several striderite shoes at significantly lower prices than you will find in the striderite store! (disclaimer that i have only tested this at the oak court mall in memphis.) we scored these adorable suede sneakers for $29 (not even a sale price) when the striderite price was $40! dillards also carries lots of converse for $20 (great for kiddos with wide feet, fyi).

now, we just need to get the boy some pants that fit! poor kiddo is wearing cords from last year that make him look like he's ready for the flood of thunderstorms predicted for tomorrow!
