- b.b. bear became sutton's bedtime buddy. since he was born, i've been dying for sutton to be attached to a stuffed animal. i think it's so adorable for little one's to have their special toy. try as i did to get him to love a stuffed animal, he usually just wanted to go to bed with a train or ball. that was until he met my old "beer belly bear" (aka. b.b.bear) that chris gave me when he came to visit me after i moved to memphis during our engagement. how sweet that something that had a special meaning to me now means so much to our boy!
- bye bye passy! it just kinda happened! this from my child - and i sucked my thumb for longer than i care to admit. he dropped taking his passy from school naps when he moved up to the 18 - 24 mo old class at school (they just forget to move it to the new class) and then i forgot to give it to him one night when i was tucking him into bed. he never complained! i was even going to give it back to him on a particuallarly fussy evening, but he refused...such a big boy!
- 1-10 - sutton can now count to ten! amazing how that little sponge-brain of his works - just soaking it all in :)
- sutton did his first 5k! okay - so i pushed him in a stroller and we just walked...but he did really awesome in the gibson guitar 5k this weekend (pictures to come - if aunt sara and uncle casey will share!). all those police cars and motorcycles, tractors and boats kept him super entertained for the long walk...wish he were always so amused on long walks!
- a, b, c - well, sorta. he loves to sing it along with me :) most of the letters are pretty much mumbling, but the ones he knows he shouts loud and clear!!

when life presents its many challenges, i am eternally thankful for my precious son - my little reminder of God's loving kindness and grace! i can understand a bit more every day what an awesome sacrifice it was that God loved us so much he gave his one and only Son to have a relationship with us!
