outfit by mommy, morning attitude all his own!!

thanks to my good friend trish, who is busy enough without having to stay up past midnight teaching me how to follow a pattern, i was able to make this little seersucker cutie for my cutie :) i've had a sewing machine for a couple years now, but mainly just played with it, making a few things that didn't need a pattern...and for my first try at a pattern, i was pretty pleased. i fudged a bit on the hem, but no one but me and you will know. thanks also to leigh ann, who gave me a personal demo on button holes!

(so, know idea why blogger decided to post my clearly landscape pictures this direction!!)
this past weekend i was inspired to make another one, this time in linen, for my little guy's upcoming beach pictures. thanks, again, to leigh ann for the monogram (so jealous of that machine!).

here's the pattern info with McCALL'S ideal image of how the pattern should be carried out...

don't cha just love little ones in jon-jons for the summer? something about those precious bare arms and legs is just too adorable!
