Date Day with Mommy:

i've been a study-widow and sutton has been a study-orphan lately with schmoopy studying for his pmp certification exam (i'm sure you can think of the jokes we toss around with that one!). saturday, me and my little buddy had a full day of fun, just the two of us. such special times :)

we started our day with a breakfast date at panera (yum-yum). too me, there's something incredibly indulgent about going out for breakfast...you know? i mean, i have eggs, cheese, grits and all sorts of breakfast ingredients on hand - but to start the day off sitting outside by the fountain with my little love chowing down on a delicious grilled egg and cheese sandwich for me and a blueberry muffin for sutton (close enough i thought to what he requested...birthday cake!) was just pure sunshine.

we then walked over to davis-kidd to play with the "choo-choo's" and "oofraffes". sutton said that life doesn't get any better than this, especially since we HAD to walk by dinstuhll's to pick out some candy for daddy on the way back (oh, and you have to tast it to make sure it's okay!).

with a heat advisory in effect for memphis, we headed to the mall to play at the inside children's area and since we were there we had to go say hi to "memo" and lunch at our fave, chick-fil-a!

a nap together at home and snuggle time during "finding nemo" before taking daddy out to father's day dinner at bosco's was the perfect way to wrap up a perfect day!
