Summer Fading to Fall:

this beautiful fall-like weather has me thinking that i haven't posted a thing about our summer fun! like did i ever even show a pic from mother's day?? here i am with my two handsome boys - love them so much! i'm so blessed to get to love and be loved by these special (not to mention oh-so-handsome) guys.

how about how much fun sutton and i had joining chris' coworkers for some team-building at the redbirds game?? check out the cool dude in the elvis shades! i think sutton was the only one who actually watched the game!

then there was our trip to the beach. ahhh...the beach. my favorite spot to go - st. george island on the "forgotten coast". so glad everyone else forgot about it because it leaves lots of room for us to have all to ourselves :) we shared a house with mimi, poppy, uncle chef and aunt em. kayaks, beautiful sunset walks on the beach with the pups, good food (mostly thanks to uncle chef!) and lots of fun times with family. we just needed uncle casey and aunt sara there to make it even better - missed them!

lots of trips to the zoo this summer to see all of sutton's favorite animals...giraffes ("offraffes") and alligators are on the top of his list :)

my little chef in training loves helping mommy in the kitchen these days! anytime he sees me cooking he goes to grap his step stool. it's fun to have a buddy in the kitchen with me!

the first sign that summer is nearing it's end is sutton's birthday. my handsome little love is 2 now and i've loved every single minute of being his mommy. he is truly a good and perfect gift from above. he has such a sweet heart and loves to talk to everyone (all the time!). i'm so proud of how well he says his abc's and counts...he's even learning to count in spanish! he loves sports of all kinds, especially our trips to the galloway golf course in the evenings to let him run around the green with his own club and balls. how many two year olds do you know that can point out a tee-box??

for his birthday, we had a pirate party because of his love of the veggie tales "the pirates who don't do anything" movie. there was a treasure hunt in the pool of balls, drawing treasure maps and we even made the kiddos walk the plank! i'm so thankful to our sweet friends and family God has given to us and that several were able to help us celebrate. special thanks to my parents (how do i not have a picture with them??) and to aunt sara who made it from nashville just for the day, all of them were a huge help with the set up!

no birthday is complete without at least 3 birthday parties! here are some pictures from sutton's party in clemson. he really has figured out the happy birthday song with the blowing-out-the-candles finale :)

sutton had another party in huntsville that i have to find which camera the pictures are on...poor guy is going to think all birthday celebrations are for him!

sorry for the long update but hope you enjoyed the pictures! how could you not, really with that adorable little kiddo??
