I am totally in a rut right now...a cooking rut. HELP! Last week we had soup for like every meal. Now, granted some were totally delicious, like the Tuscan Veggie Soup and this Broccoli Cheese Soup that I'm very much addicted to. I haven't been to the grocery store in I don't know how long and am trying to work up a meal plan and all I can think of is baked chicken - three different ways!
Maybe it's because food just isn't sound that appealing to me right now (with the exceptions of Mr. Wayne's amazing lasagna and coconut pie he treated us to last week and the super-yummy fish tacos from Blue Coast burritos we had on Sunday). Really, I'm just bored with my usuals.
So, those faithful few that read of our adventures, I could sure use some inspiration! If you could share a recipe or recipe link that you are enjoying, that would be awesome!

Hmmm...not sure if I can be much help because well, we had baked chicken tonight :). I have a great lentil salad that is a new fave thanks to Family Circle that I can give you. I was thinking it would be fun to do a dinner swap sometime. Like where a bunch of friends make several meals that can be frozen and then swap them. We should talk about it.
That's a great idea, Trish! Maybe we could see who would be interested and plan it before the flood of babies come. I would love to have my freezer stocked before Baby Sister gets here!
I like the idea of a dinner swap!
Here's an easy recipe we really like (Chris actually usually prepares this one):
Grilled Lemon Herb Pork Chops
Combine the following in a gallon-sized ziplock bag: 1/4 cup lemon juice, 2 tbsp veg oil, 4 cloves of garlic minced, 1 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp dried oregano, 1/4 tsp pepper. Place pork chops in bag and allow to marinate at least 2 hours (better if overnight).
I have a few soup ideas myself and I feel kinda stuck lately too. I would love to do a meal swap if ya'll decide too. It would be great to stock the freezer.
There was a great turkey black bean chili in January's Southern Living that is really easy and great. http://www2.daytimeonline.tv/video/2010/jan/12/southern-living-turkey-black-bean-chili-52089/
Let me know if that link doesn't work. It was pretty healthy and even Clay enjoyed it, which says a lot!
I also have recently tried Rachael Ray's chili

Thanks for the recipe ideas, girls! The grilled pork chops and turkey black bean chili sound really good. And, Trish, I'll have to get that lentil salad recipe from you, too :)
Sounds like there could be lots of interest in a dinner swap...we'll have to work out the details.
