growing up with two brothers, working all day with a bunch of engineering boys, and living with a boy has really made me cherish my girl-time when i'm lucky enough to get it :) this weekend i had some really girlie-girl time at my friend kristen's baby shower. i got to help with the shower at joanna's house by making all sorts of yummy (if i do say so myself) - brunchy things. these are friends from our old church and it's so much fun for us to all get together and visit since we all go to different churches now. but thanks to all those pregnant folks, we actually get to see each other fairly often to have these baby showers!
after the shower i came home to hang out with my buddy tonya, who had been hanging out with the boys all morning documenting their fun with jeeps :) it's always a fun time when tonya's around! we also watched the ultimate chick-flick "bring it on"!
wednesday night i went to a girls bible study that i just love. all the girls are so sweet and really are awesome about challenging me and each other with living life to glorify God. we are doing a great study by jennifer kennedy dean called "live a praying life" that i would highly recommend! my pal trish talks all about it on her bloggarooni!
last night i made some new friends at supersuppers. For those of you going "Whaa???" SuperSuppers is a business where you can go in and prepare meals to freeze and use when you need them. this was my first time to go check out supersuppers, so i visited their 101 class that just happened to be full of a single-ladies church group. we had free snacks and samples of some of the food they make, got a discount on the dinners i made, and even got to take home a free dinner. i had a lot of fun with my new friends and...mmmm...the food was yummy, too!
